Prerequisites

  • Be at least 15 years old on the last day of the course or exam
  • Hold the National Lifeguard – Swimming Pool certificate
  • Hold the First Aid – General certificate

Attendance
It is essential to take part in all courses, because the instructor evaluates candidates throughout the session (continuous assessment) and the National Lifeguard – Continental Beach certificate is recognized in provincial regulations as a legal certification to practice as a lifeguard on a beach.

Classes are from 4pm to 9pm
